Frequently asked questions

How do I start a game?

You can see open tables in the lobby. Click a position on an open table to join a game. You can also watch games as a spectator. You can create your own table with the Create Table buttons at the bottom left of the lobby. If you don't have enough people, you can always click "Add Duppies" to continue the game with Duppies (bots) until other people arrive.

Can I play against the computer?

Yes. Duppy bots fill any empty seats, so you can play solo or finish a game even if someone leaves the table. You can also play offline with Duppies without time pressure or competition pressure, or just for fun.

How do I play with friends?

For public tables, you can invite a friend to join your table. You can also create private invite-only tables and share the link or invite your friends.

You can also create groups, such as a group with only your family members, and then create tables that only family members can join.

What types of domino games do you support?

SixLove supports the three common types played in Jamaica and much of the English-speaking Caribbean: Cutthroat, Partner, and French.

Cutthroat is played with a standard double-six set of dominoes. Usually each player gets 7 dominoes. The first player to empty their hand, or have the lowest score on a blocked game, wins.

Partner is two-against-two team play. A team wins if their player empties their hand first or counts lowest on a blocked game.

French is a four-arm domino variant where doubles rule.

Is SixLove free?

Yes, SixLove is free to play in your browser. It's also available as a mobile app on iOS and Android.

How do I avoid players I don't enjoy?

You can mute any player. Muted players can't message you and you won't see their chats. You can also block players, and they can't join games you create.
